You Either Love It or Hate It

For those of you that hate snow when you thought spring was beginning to happen, the following images may be too painful for you to see.

We woke yesterday to a beautiful dusting of snow.  It was everywhere and sticking but there was really only about an inch of it.  It snowed steadily throughout the day and this morning we woke to this:

It’s been snowing 2 days straight, which for many parts of the country is no big deal.  Here in the Pacific Northwest, 2 straight days of snow in February that reaches nearly 7 inches on the ruler is a HUGE deal.

I made 2 batches of blueberry scones this morning-with and without gluten, watched the closing ceremony for the Sochi Olympic Games, Dylan rolled out of bed with the flu, and the puppy isn’t really happy peeing in the snow-he prefers the rug inside the house.

Yesterday I was faithful to work quite awhile on Dylan’s scarf. Yay me!  And I worked on those pretty pink mittens:

Today is dedicated to snugging in, taking care of my sick boy, finishing that mitten and eating copious amounts of scones.

Own the Day!

  1. Beautiful snow! Beautiful mittens! Sounds so cozy. Sorry about the flu part. :(. Hope you don’t get it too.

Kristine, It’s still snowing with no end in sight, though they promise us rain later today. I’m not sure I believe them. 🙂 I hope I can get these mitts done today. They so want to be sent to their person. Is it snowing at your house, too? Are you knitting?

The snow is AMAZING!!! Wow!!! It started to feel like Autumn yesterday and my heart is bursting with happiness. 🙂 It’s so lovely to HAVE to wear a flannel shirt in the mornings. 🙂 Poor flu fellow – hope he feels heaps better soon. Scones are perfect. Just perfect. 🙂 I have shortbread. 🙂
